Reggae, Latin, and Funk

This incredibly fun band is how it might sound if Stevie Wonder had spent a year living in Jamaica. The “Rootful sound” blends lead singer Sydney Cruz's Soul-infused voice with Anika Erickson’s smooth Pop and R&B harmony vocals. The musical engine powering Rootful’s award-winning songs is anchored by masterful drummer Cristian Cornejo and resident Ska-expert bassist Howie Cruz, and guitarist/visual artist Enoch Davis, who also designs and animates the band’s live visuals. Rootful transforms each show they play into a joyful, uplifting experience that goes beyond a typical “gig” and becomes a celebration. With two soulful-voiced vocalists who sing directly from their hearts to yours, and award-winning, original Reggae, Latin, and Funk songs, there is always a lot of love in the room at a Rootful performance.
